ICYMI: @GregAbbott_TX says @bofrench would “wreck” Texas oil and gas if elected to the Railroad Commission.
Abbott on Tuesday slammed GOP Railroad Commission candidate Bo French, saying he “doesn’t know anything about oil and gas.” He cast the race for the often-overlooked statewide office as existential for the state economy, especially amid soaring gas prices during the ongoing war with Iran. The commission oversees the oil and gas industry.
“Bo French’s agenda would wreck the miracle that we have in producing more oil and gas than ever before — by the way, more oil and gas than what Iran produces,” Abbott said.
At a campaign stop, Abbott told a crowd of Republicans, “We need @JimWright4Texas to be reelected to continue to lead that way.”
Thank you, Texas Republicans, for your overwhelming support.
The work continues…and the best is yet to come for the Lone Star State. Now on to the general! #txlege
It’s really tough to explain exactly how but a lot of the A&M stuff that comes across as culty suddenly becomes really fucking cool when they’re this good.
Maybe it was cool the entire time and I’m just a hater.

Had a great policy discussion of tax policy with @TAPTP with Ray Head and around 500 folks in the audience about $18 Billion of property tax cuts!
We discussed SB2, SB 3 and the public vote, HJR 2 by @willmetcalfTX, in November for an increased $100k Homestead exemption for all 5.72 Million Texas homeowners! I expect the voters to overwhelming vote FOR Proposition 4, as the reductions on the average ISD property tax bill of over a $1k a home. If fact, @TarrantCountyTX tax bills are already in the mail apparently showing this level of HUGE reductions!
As the author of the Senate bills, the Tax offices can mail out the property tax bills with the savings printed on them so everyone will see it as compression of property tax rates which helps businesses too! It's great to talk about the awesome savings for Taxpayers and all the CAD/ARB government reforms in SB 2. #txlege
