@KatieMu76677376 100%, reality is subjective but is often assumed as something fixed or concrete. I think adding another layer of artificial technological elements further derails us from authenticity and ultimately prevents meaningful connection. #EDU6323
@NeeveMacG@jessvalli This was my thought as well. I think technologies advance gradually so they're integrated into society without another thought.

#EDU6323 This is the first time I've seen Kevin Kelly's video and must admit, I'm a bit spooked. To be immersed in technology or the mesh is terrifying.
@profe_jbarroso That's so awesome! I need to research this more, but it intuitively makes sense that learners will be more engaged when they're involved in the class structure and assignments. #EDU6323
@KatieMu76677376 @EgleSlezas An important element when attempting to cultivate growth mindsets amongst learners. Educators should be cognizant of feedback's potential to threaten or stregthen growth mindsets. Importantly, educators should hold space for learners to embrace and learn from failure. #EDU6323
I'm fascinated by growth mindsets and how it relates to student success. Low stakes formative assessments cultivate a growth mindset amongst learners. This enhances student engagement, because learners are focused on personal evolution rather than fixed outcomes. #EDU6323
@EmilyAHopkins@nms_elearning@LouriNieman#EDU6323 I would argue that screenshare is more humanized which typically leads to better learning outcomes. Here's a great talk about the benefits and strategies for humanizing online instruction from Karen Costa. https://t.co/7X7KJwwLux

Big Data has not escaped the education realm and I too wonder where the line exists. While real-time analytics have the power to transform learning outcomes, how can students maintain their privacy?
@LouriNieman@profe_jbarroso I use Teams and Slack as well. A huge benefit to Slack is its integration with google docs. Makes it so easy to work collaboratively across separate platforms. #EDU6323
After reviewing the resources this week and taking into consideration my own research habits, I would say I'm 100% for Wikipedia. To echo other comments shared this week, Wikipedia is a great starting point but not a citation. #EDU6323
@nms_elearning#EDU6323
I agree. I do think there are advantages to both but there's something to be said for platforms specifically designed for education.
