@Germanprof@mserridge@Whitworthtin4 Agreed on the need for it not to be onerous. Assessment is the result of solid curriculum planning and this example evidences that nicely.
@mserridge@Germanprof@Whitworthtin4 Although, this does come with rather a lot of planning in the background. I still feel that it comes back to clarity about what they need to know specifically and what the skills are to get better at that subject. Without clarity surely they wouldn’t be able to answer those Q’s?
1. Yesterday I taught a lesson I was really pleased with. It was on the Black Death - a topic I've taught many, many times before. This time I taught it differently as a result of reading @IanJamesFM Time Traveller's Guide to Medieval England.
Yesterday I tweeted about the need for students to have the opportunity of having resources in their first language for assessments at KS3 (as well as access to English). Here is a short video on how to translate your google docs #EAL#geographyteacher
Another item ticked off the bucket list! Thank you @balloonist for a spectacular morning, including champagne at 0915! Worth the 0430 wake up. #views#awesome#beautifulday
