@G_Primavera13 Wow, this case is full of misconduct, and sadly reminds me of other wrongful conviction stories. She was suspected due to her mental illness, evidence wasn’t presented that supported her innocence, and evidence pointing towards a police officer was also left out.
@AngelineMM Interestingly enough, he is a Cabrini alum, making this story all the more relevant to us. That definitely took courage, but I agree it could’ve been dangerous. I wonder how this will affect other crime witnesses #CrimEdCU
On the other hand, we have discussed the harms and dangers of social media and true crime, especially with ongoing cases. What do you guys think? #CrimEdCU

A record number of book bans are expected this year.
Here’s how some activists are finding creative ways to make banned books available anyway. https://t.co/LfGoH1byr4
@G_Primavera13 Definitely a bit of victim blaming here. It’s bad enough that this happened to her, but even worse to make it appear as though it was her fault, which is considered secondary victimization.
I’m sure we’ve all heard of true crime podcasts, such as Crime Junkie and True Crime with Kendall Rae, but check out this podcast that reviews current criminological research for a change of pace! #CrimEdCU https://t.co/OoWVSR9XW0
