This is so sad! Why should it have taken multiple officers to tase, pepper spray & beat this man just to neutralize him? The picture included in the article is so hard to see, interested to see how this story will continue to develop and if the cops will be charged. #CrimEdCU
An Indigenous man brutalized by cops, may die.
"Multiple police officers used their stun guns, batons and pepper spray.

This is one story of many. The CJS failed to deliver justice by wrongfully convicting this woman. She spent the last 42 years of her life incarcerated for a crime she didn’t commit. To move forward we need do better investigations to ensure that justice is being served. #CrimEdCU
Sandra Hemme has spent the last 42 years in prison for a crime she didn't commit, making her the longest-known wrongly convicted woman. https://t.co/xzQHqlimX8
Very powerful message behind this tweet, and I agree. However, I find it troubling that TikTok has become a priority to be compared next to human rights. Yes, regulate gun laws and ban assault rifles, but this is not something to be compared to the use of social media #CrimEdCU
I think this article is extremely important. Often times police violence is seen as an American issue, but that is not the case. While Canada might have fewer shootings, this article shows we need to look into the systemic issues of police violence on a larger scale.#CrimEdCU
"At least 117 police-involved deaths in 2022. In 2021 there were at least 104."
Don't ask if the cops were held accountable.

@G_Primavera13 I agree, there is definitely a connection between this story and our previous class discussion. I believe stories such as this one are often seen societal shocks especially when the offender is someone who you would not expect to commit such an act like a caretaker. #CrimEDCU
@zachpogrob The power of tik tok is amazing for shinning light on the hidden talents that go unrecognized! However, the glorification and romanticism on serial killers is alarming. Why are we finding it so fascinating to read about the these gruesome murders? #CrimEdCU
