@cpudog@nichochar I have no idea who this guy is or what he does, and I'm happy at my job. I just think performative online histrionics are really annoying.
@drallibrown@LanaElys There's no actual claim here that AI is actually conscious. But current generation LLMs go through long chains of thought, where it reasons to itself. Forcing the constraint "you are not conscious, don't ever claim to be" restricts and influences those reasoning traces
@Vladimiracle@tgstk714@xwanyex When does that occur? What kind of instrument do you use to measure personhood? Is there a standard unit of measurement?
@Vladimiracle@tgstk714@xwanyex claiming that they "never existed" and never "were ever actual people" (who, if they don't exist?) is itself a fundamentally unscientific claim. you're making claims about personhood, which is an ethical concept, and which cannot be objectively qualified.
@pixelsanddice@Reply_Addict everyone is wise to the "shuffle sideways through a narrow opening" trick, and it comes off as corny and overplayed. a traditional loading screen feels more honest, really.
@nintendo_chall@Orcao@MelinShioto I understand what you're saying. Instead of being a single sprite that has multiple animation frames within the sprite, this boss is just made of static sprites each with a single frame that are simply transposed.
@catpotwine@RedWavePress they're dumbfuck shitheads but they have political cohesion, party discipline, and will to power. underestimating them or writing them off would be a mistake. they have to be crushed
@MrOvis_ if really pressed, they will claim that Africa isn't developed because White people "extracted" all the "resources." What resources? Well presumably it's the magic juice that makes civilization spring up from the dirt.
