Check out our new paper on reproductive success of male #orangutans in #Tuanan. I am honored to be a part of this wonderful team! Reproductive success of Bornean orangutan males: scattered in time but clustered in space #longtermdata#TORP 🦧🇮🇩🙌 https://t.co/yWeAl2vzEI
We also use thermal drones to detect orangutans! Our Research Director, Wahyu Susanto, flies in the early hours of the morning before the sun rises so the canopy is still cool. Bibi and her juvenile, Bayas, seen here #OCW#orangutancaringweek
1. It’s Orangutan Caring Week! This week we will be updating you all on the many exciting things we are working on and the ways we care for orangutans by caring for forests and for the people that live near them! #ocw#orangutancaringweek#landrights#sustainablelivelihoods
We leverage AI to protect orangutans by using drones to find orangutan nests. The images taken are used to train AI models to recognize nests so that we can conduct population surveys more easily! #OCW#orangutancaringweek#drones#aiforgood
@tinkeringprim8 We go to Ocean City, NJ (I think some of the replies are talking about OC, Maryland) and it’s extremely family friendly. Boardwalk is there when you’re in the mood, and southern part of town is a little quieter and just tons of families with young kids.
