Watching them pull this exhausted baby elephant out of the raging Teesta River and gently stroke its head to calm it down is just incredible. Huge respect to these local fishermen for saving its life and making sure it got safely back to its mother. Real heroes. ❤️🐘

2000–02 ರ ಸುಮಾರಿನ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ನೆನಪು. ಅಂದಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಸ್.ಎಂ. ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.

A fond memory dating back to sometime in 2000-02 with Chief Minister Shri S M Krishna. I was Deputy Commissioner, Mandya then.

Kalaburagi, Karnataka: Kavita, Assistant Director, Vigilance, Agriculture Department, Kalaburagi, says, "No, we received a complaint that some illegal fertilizer was being stored here, including subsidized urea bags. We were also informed that some bags had no subsidy markings and that the urea was being transferred into completely white bags. So, we visited the location and found a large quantity of subsidized urea bags—more than 1,000, approximately, though the exact counting has not yet been completed..."

On June 5, 2015; on the occasion of World Environment Day, trees were planted here for the first time. Pic from that day when everyone wore green. @HydraSada motivated hundreds of villagers to enroll themselves in this work. At the peak of summer nearly 1100 persons worked here.

Visited Honnakiranagi Village today with my parents. 68000 trees have been raised & nurtured under MGNREGA. Spotted a few blackbucks, a hare and enjoyed smelling the humus-rich soils.
