Immensely grateful to @NASA for the opportunity to serve and contribute. While I’ll miss the tech, the hardware, and the missions, it’s the people I’ll miss most. Our greatest asset will always be each other, led with empathy and care.
I’m spending my final year in the Navy with Training Air Wing 2, giving back by teaching and mentoring the next generation of naval aviators before taking on the next chapter, bringing all my energy to solving hard problems, building with hardcore teams, and driving positive impact.

.@SecGenNATO has officially announced the incorporation of Finland 🇫🇮 as a new member of the Multinational MRTT Fleet, expanding the base of participating nations and reinforcing European sovereignty in critical defence capabilities.
The #A330MRTT MMF programme now comprises nine participating nations: the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Czechia, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
The announcement showcases the strong cooperation between @NATO, the participating nations and industry, led by Airbus. The programme stands as an example of how nations can pool and share resources to secure continuous access to state-of-the-art capabilities, demonstrating how Europe can respond effectively to evolving security challenges through innovation and cooperation.
With nine A330 MRTTs in operation from a total order of 12 aircraft, the MMF unit has already deployed to NATO's Eastern Flank, supported civilian and refugee evacuations in Afghanistan, and participated in multinational exercises in the Indo-Pacific region.

Everything is on track for delivery next year. ⏳ The RCAF's A330 MRTT will be equipped with both hose-and-drogue and boom air-to-air refuelling capabilities, along with advanced cybersecurity solutions and countermeasures. 🛡️
Airbus Defence and Space will open an A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) conversion centre at its San Pablo plant in #Seville by the end of 2027 to meet the increase in global demand for tanker aircraft.
This new centre, alongside Airbus' existing facility at its #Getafe site in #Madrid, will enable the annual conversion of civil aircraft to military versions to increase from five to seven. Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) work will also be carried out in the new centre in Seville, as well as the upgrading of #A330MRTT already in service.
The NTSB released the security camera video showing the engine separating from the UPS MD-11 moments before it crashed. The docket also includes the inspection of the engines and in particular, engine two which showed a few performance blips prior to the crash but with recovery to commanded speeds.
So, I don't believe there's evidence that debris were ingested into engine 2, instead the performance problems were related to the flames from the wing entering engine 2. Some of the footage appears to support this.

Paints the picture. No time to think about anything other than finding a pitch angle that avoids the stall/break and (hopefully) prevents the sink. Not enough thrust on #3 though after #1 killed #2. Heavy. Lots of gas. Not enough thrust. Godspeed.
We now have images from the test and an official statement from the USAF:
