๐ There are companies out there - thousands of them - still measuring digital marketing based on their Twitter follower count. This must be stopped.
Here's why ๐

@SarahKocianski@Siftedeu Thank you, Sarah - budgeting & savings rapidly becoming our most popular features in the app, too (vs. flexible pay). Very excited about new areas like fairer insurance/energy too. Hope all's well - must catch up over coffee some time!
@DaniTVNews P.s. if you're keen, must intro you to the founders of a new type of bank, aiming to destroy the poverty premium and give fairer financial services to people. They'd love to chat!
*Love* this perspective from Michelle.
Thanks for the @wagestream shout-out, @MichelleNacouzi ๐
The defining business challenges of the next decade are people challenges - so more growth in this mega-category to come.
@MStothard This looks utterly wonderful, @MStothard. You need to team up with @PeterBriffett (@wagestream) for an episode - would love to see what Eliza thinks about him trying to make banking fairer! ๐ธ
Social impact investing rose 26% during the Covid-19 lockdowns! ๐ฎ. We spoke to Stephen Muers of @BigSocietyCap about the reasons for this, and some of the life-changing projects they help to fund: https://t.co/vFnjrTh5pt #socialimpact@wagestream@snhealth_uk#socialimpact#ESG
@emilyjnicolle@JamesLiamCook@FinancialNews Pls write this @JamesLiamCook but flip the angle to 'It is fu*king mad that so many people have paid for metal bank cards and new research suggests it may be a harbinger of the apocalypse'
@alexhooperdev @sytaylor@ninamohanty@pipe@wagestream Quite a few looked into it (including us at Wagestream), but varies by market; Brits & UK regulator more paternal so it's less likely here. Employer-bundled banking (incl. EWA) is the bigger opportunity to help more people. @Loella172@davidbrear sounds like a podcast topic ๐
@NeilRetail Thanks for sharing, Neil - we're excited about the project. Seeing a *lot* of interest among retailers now (UK & US), with specific use cases around shift & delivery workforces. We should chat some time, about retail/HR trends and tech โ
@jas_shah@wagestream For sure. Scoring itself definitely powerful! E.g. Brits could be ยฃ5bn better off by making better, simple financial decisions each year. The exciting change would be linking that to fairer services & education for all. Banks won't do that - hoping employers help plug the gap
@goforsergei Bravo @goforsergei ๐ Must do virtual coffee sometime, love to hear about the pros/cons. We know @wagestream pre-existing debt is something we could tackle, by simplifying it & guiding people through it - but need to explore more first...debt a scary word for employers/clients!
@NikMilanovic ๐คทโโ๏ธ You're right, and so is everyone else - been heating up for a while, but getting hotter because the power of payroll/building around the salary is being discovered. Embedded finance + rebundling around the employer = ๐
@OliverSmithEU@RobertCollings_ Am I missing something? I'm struggling to see what they've done wrong - at a push, maybe should've said "a" Monzo IPO, instead of "the", in the ad? If the company is on public record stating it may happen soon, seems fair game for HL to remind people they can set up alerts ๐คทโโ๏ธ
