I struggle to talk about my past sometimes. Every fun story, every anecdote, every memory- all are intertwined and twinged with sadness. It's inescapable.
I was once told by a white peer that “everybody has said the n word”.
That mentality is unacceptable.
As white people, we need to do better. We need to BE better.
