Tonight, I am proud to have earned the support needed to become our party’s nominee.
Over the next few months, I'll be traveling across the country talking to Americans about everything on the line. I fully intend to unite our party and our nation, and defeat Donald Trump.
🇨🇦 Happy National Physician Assistant Day! 🎉 Celebrating PAs' contributions since the 1950s, from Canadian Military service to nationwide healthcare. Thank you to the 1000+ dedicated PAs.

Congratulations! This news made my morning and it has been great working with CAPA to make this come to reality! PAs will be a significant asset as we move forward with improving rural healthcare in BC!
Thank you @Dave_Eby@adriandix@unsto_pa_ble
This is a great article about how we can address healthcare challenges.
Dr. Katherine Smart @CMA_Docs
nails it - "We will not solve the challenges in front of us by using the same thinking that created them."
Great article @unsto_pa_ble@BCNeedsPAs

@BCNeedsPAs@KatharineSmart@CanadianForces@alexnatarosMD Just finished sat/sun call at LGH. 13 surgeries, 8 ER admits, guessing 70 phone calls, 26 hrs in hospital. Feel like I’ve been run over by a truck. I had a resident with me. If not it would have been 35 hrs in hospital. We can’t keep doing this. BC needs PAs.
Need a physical? A physician assistant can do that.
A prescription renewal? A physician assistant can do that.
Want blood work ordered? A physician assistant can do that.

➡️ 90.4% of SPs rated PA competency as being very good or excellent
@DrKathleenRoss1@CMA_Docs@AlikaMD@JoshGreggain As you mention, many factors have brought us here… I’d like to highlight how Physician Assistants can be a piece of the solution.
Across Canada, PAs are helping fill gaps by working in hospitalist teams. We are an untapped resource in BC! Use us!

@KirstenLuomala@unsto_pa_ble Sadly, I am leaving Langley, BC this month to work in Washington state. Can’t wait for BC who continues to keep their head in the sand @adriandix
👏
Physician Assistant students include RTs, paramedics, health scientists… even IMGs & nurses. PA programs allow health professionals to advance their clinical skill set & work at a high level of medicine.
5 PA schools in Canada…
yet no PAs working yet in BC

In other parts of 🇨🇦 the PA role is expanding.
In Nova Scotia people are asking, why did we not utilize PA’s sooner? The crisis has been growing for years.
It is time for BC to do something. Listen to our @DoctorsOfBC#BCNeedsPAs
