@pan_accindex If SARS-CoV-2 gets past your lung defenses and into your blood, it behaves very much like mono, another adaptive zoonotic respiratory virus. Very similar treatments, too. Get that blood oxygen UP! I don't see any of that in here?

@1goodtern SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is a zoonotic respiratory adaptive virus, similar to mononucleosis. Once it gets past your lung defenses and into your blood, your body's immune system gets very confused, since other coronaviruses already in your blood aren't causing oxygen problems.

@dbdugger Both are "zoonotic spillover viruses" which means they naturally occur in animal blood, but have now gotten into human blood. They are also both SPHERICAL viruses, which means that the human immune system evaluates them in a similar way, when considering whether to attack or not.

@LongCFoundation Ummmm...usually blood oxygen therapies address any residual adaptive respiratory and circulatory issues in people with working immune systems. Not sure why athletes aren't doing this, unless oxygen is considered a "performance drug."

@LCawarenessInt @LongCFoundation It is very difficult to recover from an adaptive coronavirus blood infection without a good follow-up regime of blood oxygen boosting. I have never heard American infectious disease specialists say this, although most Asian and Middle Eastern docs know this. Frustrating.

It's more important for new studies to explain WHY, so that they can educate & help. Each answer is slightly different, depending on the exact germ and the system, organ, or fluid that it is attacking. One stopgap is to get oxygen directly into the bloodstream ASAP.

2. Every mammal on the planet is born with coronaviruses in its blood. When a vaccine no longer targets one specific virus, but starts to target only a portion of a virus, it can behave negatively against the GOOD viruses that we have in our bodies.
