@KaceyKilgore I think this shows how important it is that as educators stay up to date on all the things constantly evolving and changing in culture. This way there can be better collaboration in the classroom and less issues with that.

@Carolin86470106 Opposed to simply giving tests to evaluate student understanding, we can use different types of projects to do so. Through this, we can give students options on how to show their understanding and use the form that works best for them.

@madelynbrown98 I think that grades can determine so much for students (getting into college, moving into advanced classes, etc) that they are more worried on memorizing material to spit out and make an A on the tests than they are truly internalizing the information.

@KaceyKilgore Yes! I think that everyone should have the ability to speak up wether that be the teacher or the student. It is important that everyone has the ability to feel heard for their ideas and opinions.

@carolinetjones3 I think a very important determinate of respect comes from how your students view you as a person. It is important to remember that while you are in charge, you can’t always hold yourself to be much better than your students as human beings and build true relationships with them.

@KaceyKilgore I think often times grades can be a good reflection of a students work ethic. This could somewhat be a predictor of their jobs because a hard worker can go far, espically if they are also intellectually gifted and making great grades.
