@HannahHelton13 I think it is definitely possible to combine them all even though all of thought will have to be put into planning it. I think hands-on activities are a great example of how teachers try to incorporate these 5 things.

@anm0054 It can be a type of show and tell activity except students will have the opportunity to teach the class a little about their culture and background. Then, other students will be able to ask them questions about their culture leading to a class discussion.

@KaceyKilgore I think this is a good idea! Some teachers like to think they have all the control in a classroom, but I believe students should have power too. Classrooms should have a balance of power between teacher and students because both can learn from each other.

@HannahHelton13 I think schools are promoting growth by teaching relevant information to students they can use in the outside world. Teachers try to push students out of their comfort zone to promote growth and independence in students.

@Carolin86470106 Teachers can get to know their students by doing activities that allows students to share stuff about their life with the class. Having students work together in teams creates a sense of teamwork that can ignore the feeling of loneliness.

@emilylrut I think it’s important to have standards because it keeps teachers accountable for what they have to teach. However, I think teachers can bring additional information into the classroom that children will want to learn.

@katherinemossau I think it’s a good idea to start teaching children another language when they are young because they’ll be able to build on it every year. Knowing another language is an important skill to have because you can use it when you’re older and connect with people from other places!
