@visionaryagron1@ajmargenot Our cover crop wheat was yellow in the corn stocks and now with this steady rain it’s green and almost as tall as the stocks. Had to be getting nitrogen from somewhere.
@mjanders1 Had amazing results with cover crops this year. Very weather dependent but step outs of the rye zone lots of amazing choices and the results will amaze you with so many benefits that you don’t see in a yield.
@JohnHalcrow1@marioncofarmer I can show corn with no damage in a drought for the cover crop that was planted last fall. May not get the full benefit due to weather. I do understand that they don’t work for everyone but you also can’t just plant something and hope it works lots of management to get result
@JohnHalcrow1@marioncofarmer That is not true they can be a companion you have to do some homework and plant the proper crop ahead of the proper crop. You can save money. The limiting factor is weather witch no one here can control.
@mjanders1 Was resicore used last year I am seeing some leaf cupping and different things going on. With the dry weather I wonder if we are getting carry over from last year. I know where they dropped the hose when loading the sprayer there is no beans at all.
