Clear tax is sending whatsapp messages to taxpayers across india to file the Income tax returns via them (they are illegally spamming and creating panic amongst taxpayers) .

This is one of the very critical issue regarding Income tax data leak to a private company via somebody.

I will also request ICAI to look into the matter as many of top management in clear tax are chartered accoutants and this is a serious case of canvassing.

The due date for ITR-1 and ITR-2 should be 120 days from the day the utility is made available by the Department, with a 7-day extension for each change to the utility, as the Software needs time.

As per Income Tax law, the time available for filing non-audit ITRs (ITR-1 & ITR-2) is from 1 April to 31 July... a total of just 122 days.

Today is 12th May.
42 days already gone. Only 80 days left.
That means nearly 34% of the statutory filing window is already over, while utilities for key ITR forms are still not released!

And once utilities come, professionals & taxpayers will be expected to complete 100% compliance in the remaining 66% time.

NO ACCOUNTABILITY. NO TRANSPARENCY. NO PREPARATION. FULL SHAMELESSNESS.

And the worst part ? Leaders of our profession never seem to raise this point each year on social media!
