@freda646@Kubr1ck@GerrySamuels12@benonwine Your perception is a sad indictment of older generations attitude towards the young. The young are having to deal with a shitshow of society because of austerity. Their health, education, opportunities are far worse than yours. I'd like to see how you wld fare in their shoes.
This post is problematic for a number of reasons.
A thread…🧵
1. For those attempting to make sense of Trump’s victory and the rise of the far-right across Europe - look no further than the PMs statement below.
Whether you like it or not, the far-right has a set of common narratives. We can probably all recite them…
@DespairAtNone@sharrond62@EssexPR@Keir_Starmer We've got a 150 year old house and the heat pump is working really well. We added more insulation to our attic, fixed the drafts and dry lined a couple of walls, all of which make that house loads more pleasant and cheaper to live in.
@bustardstweets@LBC Most will actually go into recruiting more frontline staff and expanding capacity. Stop pedalling this nonsense. There are inefficiencies and red tape, but it's nowhere near as bad as people make out. The biggest issue is lack of staff, beds and equipment.
@MiddleSeaSailor@JMPSimor She's not. He doesn't want any pushback against his version of the truth. These give justification to his policies such as deporting immigrants, burning more fossil fuels, not supporting NATO etc. He wants to silence experts, scientists, anyone who opposes him.
@ali__samson I think this was due to sentencing guidelines, not early release for prison over crowding. Both of these are down to mis management of the justice system by the part in power for the previous 14 years, which Lee Anderson was part of.
@Jawgenius@implausibleblog What you don't seem to get is it's poor us, as in all of us. We've all been shafted by the Tories and their client media for years.
@Sangita123000 @OldTrot @BethRigby@MailOnline Calm down dear. Hopefully you'll only be taxed more fairly going forward. What's a few extra % between friends? I mean, you do want to be a part of UK society don't you and contribute your fair share, don't you?
@wKQIOeujpnu8vBL@estherbintliff Any reason that you resorted to Generative AI to reply to this? It's kind of ironic considering the amount energy this uses.
@GaryMarcus It's really disappointing. The last 14 years of conservative govt have screwed our economy with austerity and Brexit. Now the new bunch of clowns in charge think generative AI is going to boost our economy somehow. They have no idea.
