A SMALL EXTENSION CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE

As the 30th September Tax Audit deadline approaches, Chartered Accountants and their teams are working under considerable time pressure.

A Tax Audit involves detailed verification of books and records, reconciliation, examination of supporting documents, tax analysis, documentation and professional review. Completing this work properly requires adequate time.

An extension of the due date to 31st October would provide an additional window for:

✅ Thorough verification and reconciliation
✅ Proper review of audit reports
✅ Better management of multiple statutory compliances
✅ Reduced last-minute pressure
✅ Greater focus on accuracy and quality

HOPE FOR AN EARLY DECISION

The expectation is that the Tax Audit timeline will be considered from the perspective of quality compliance as well as timely compliance.

This is not about less accountability.
It is about providing adequate time to discharge professional responsibility properly.

TAR Extension की मांग से न Profession degrade होता है, न उसकी reputation कम होती है—यदि मांग तार्किक है।

Date Rationalisation के बाद Tax Audit के लिए उपलब्ध समय 2 माह से घटकर सिर्फ 1 माह रह गया।

इसलिए Extension सुविधा नहीं, practical necessity है।
