@ok_post_guy @digging4fire Haha yea it is - it’s just not the average job. My dad was like a 2% earner but lived like he wasn’t. Most of these stories of ‘my dad afforded XXX easily’ just didn’t realize their parents didn’t have ‘average’ jobs for their neighborhood

@TwisteChristian @RefinedPopulist It looks like we’re about the same age. When I graduated my starting salary into a large corp in nyc analyst class was 56k base and now is 75k. Chipotle was 6.55 and McDonald’s had a $ menu on the street. A large sub was $8.75. Lunch has absolutely outpaced starting salary.
