Y así nace una motivación para muchos en atletismo. Gracias a Sherman por darnos estas alegrías y demostrar que nada es imposible si se tiene la pasión.

My PhD thesis is due in a couple of weeks. With so many things to take care of, I have adopted more effective to-do lists to manage my tasks and I am never going back! Here are my tips for best practices to improve output (1/n)#phdlife#AcademicChatter#phdvoice#AcademicChatter
New scientific publication led by Kanishka Mallick examined the relative role of biophysical conductances in diagnostic and prognostic evaporation models under aridity conditions. For more insights: https://t.co/nuSEaAcZR8

Yesterday evening will go down in history as one of the most memorable northern plains chases for me personally. Little did I know that I would capture the most incredible shelf structure of my career, and quite possibly a contender for structure of the year. These photos were taken from Poplar, Montana to Williston, North Dakota! I hope you all enjoy them! #ndwx #wxtwitter
Having mostly reviewed stats papers written by ecologists I figured most ecologists were not trained in math notation. Reviewing stats papers written by statisticians has me updating this belief to "everyone should take a second to review math notation."

#Mangroves protect coastlines, provide prime habitat for fish, are essential nesting & feeding grounds for many species of birds and help fight climate change by storing carbon in the soil.

Interested in how grapevines respond to climate change?
In this project you will assess the suitability of cultivars and rootstocks to future climate, with a focus on water relations (including isotope work!). PhD offer near Barcelona, apply through @irtacat site
Western Norway is home to the only Boreal Rainforest 🌲🌧️ in Europe. These beautiful areas are characterised by extreme rainfall (3000mm/yr), conifer overstory and rich understory of moss and ferns. We have just installed #dendrometers in this area for the #BorealNet project!
Are secondary forests the rockstars of forests (grow fast, die young)? No - they are more similar old-growth forests (demographically). Wonderfully lead by #MarkusSchorn and #NadjaRuger

Abstracts are your paper's first impression.
A weak abstract can sink even the best research.

New luxembourg #soil profile described during installation of soil temperature probes.
Sandy soil developped on Luxembourg sandstone.
#Anthropic#stoneline at 60 cm, material above is slope alluvium.
Maintaining carbon flux systems in the tropics is not a joke. It is hard when “northern” reviewers do not recognize the amount of effort and $$$ that takes to keep them functioning. Are we the only ones with this problem? I doubt it. This systems are not designed for down here.
