@BishopBarron Thank you Bishop Barron.
This has become a real classic but how about turning it into a deeply written best seller book- not the short version that you currently have- ? God bless you.
What an appalling speech the Mayor of New York delivered for the 250th anniversary of the nation.
Sadly, it reflects the view of America propagated for years by Howard Zinn and his like-minded colleagues in the universities and believed by armies of the young: a dark, oppressive country where common people are denigrated by tyrants and oligarchs, where immigrants are treated with contempt, where those with “soft hands” hold the wealth created by those with dirty hands.
No sensible person would claim that our country is without flaws, but the relentlessly negative picture painted by Mayor Mamdani is just absurd.
And it is the fruit of the Marxism that, sadly, is all the rage today.
On this day, we remember the Hundred Days War (July 1–October 8, 1978)
For nearly 100 days, Christian areas of East Beirut endured relentless shelling and siege as Lebanese forces fought against Syrian military forces operating under the Arab Deterrent Force. Homes, churches, hospitals, and neighborhoods were devastated, and countless civilians paid the price.
Their resilience became a symbol of the determination to defend their communities despite overwhelming odds.

You are a whore, Nicole. You make your money by harming the Lebanese people and undermining their will to break free from Iran’s terrorist organization.
You are a whore, Nicole….
But God is good, and the skies are fair. You will pay for this somehow, perhaps with your health, or through your children later on. And when you feel that God has been unfair to you, just remember us. Remember that for a few cheap dollars, for the kind of money we Lebanese can easily throw at girls like you to clean our houses, do our nails, or style our hair, you chose to lie and stand against our will.
In our country, girls of your nationality work in prostitution. Now we understand why. It’s a deep rooted mentality.
If you had the bare minimum of the dignity you claim to have, you would have stayed out of the matters of a nation that is asking for sovereignty and peace. You chose the path of being a sellout. Your dignity has a price. That’s not dignity, that’s online prostitution… again nothing surprising seeing where you come from.
🇱🇧🇺🇸 Lebanese-American success! Part of Trump team.
Professor @YaredPierre , born in Lebanon & Columbia prof, served brilliantly as Acting Chair of President Trump’s CEA. Trump called him a ‘STAR’ who helped Make America WEALTHY Again with his team of Brainiacs. Thank you for your service, Professor!
Wishing you & your family the best.

Only six days after the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon, Alexander Haig, then U.S. Secretary of State, wrote a letter to President Ronald Reagan outlining what America's objectives in Lebanon should be.
And what were those objectives? Encouraging Israeli domination? Fomenting civil war? Further weakening the Lebanese state? That is what leftist and Islamist propaganda would have us believe.
Except there was nothing of the sort. This is what America's top diplomat had in mind: (1) creating a strong Lebanese government; (2) linking an Israeli withdrawal to a Syrian withdrawal in order to secure both; and (3) ending the PLO's position as a state within a state and making it accountable to Lebanon's legitimate authorities.
That was essentially it. In a nutshell: All foreign forces should leave, and Lebanon should have a functional, sovereign state.
Darn, these imperialists are evil! Right? Right.
It does not befit you to descend to such a level of hatred, bigotry, and conspiratorial thinking; attacking the Jewish people wholesale is neither courage nor truth, but collective blame and poison, and I am proud to be counted among the so-called “مهابيل يا غفلة يا حمقى مسيحيي لبنان” who reject such narratives and choose dignity, truth, and humanity instead.
@EYakoby I love the choice of words 😅 I’m sick of the parroting they have been doing ever since Oct 7. Literally sick, those people make me sick can I repeat again how sick they make me feel ?
The correlation is telling:
Maronite leadership, not domination, coincided with Lebanon’s golden age: free press, top universities, banking, entrepreneurship, and genuine pluralism.
The Sunnis and Hariri era brought some reconstruction and investment, but never full sovereignty or freedom or pluralism.
Armed Shiite thuggery, terror, mafia behavior, and dominance coincided with isolation, brain drain, and economic collapse.
Outcomes matter.
