@KookCapitalLLC prior to ventuals, were retail users able to adequately speculate on pre-IPO assets in a liquid fashion?
You can also get close to 1:1 on the vHYPE/HYPE pool.
I appreciate the desire to protect your community members but let's not bash folks who push the HL eco and our bags.
@0xmadeleineee was thinking the same thing but got an air in the end – the display on the Neo isn't the best and I like my liquidation candles to be pretty
amazon/retailers run pretty hefty discounts from time to time ($899 macbook air)
@16HashBrowns Right, so based on Cash Holdings they'll have around ~$141M cash left – given this dip I think they may tap the new financing facility soon.
But good caveat, thanks for sharing.
Big week for $PURR (but not for DAT buyers)
- Shares diluted 4.1%
- NAV down 6.3%
- NAV premium increased (1.23x ➛ 1.31x)
tldr: If you held HYPE directly you just ate the drawdown. If you held PURR you ate the drawdown plus the dilution.
Just buy HYPE
Will be interesting to see how much cash $PURR raised and how much $HYPE they bought when the fresh weekly data is released tomorrow. The data lags by a week (data released tomorrow will be based on info from the period of 5/22-5/28 but should still be very informative
@Crypto_McKenna study revolut / robinhood in 2015
(crazy they publicly launched within 1 month of each other, in jul/aug)
the main difference is that who wins wouldn't take a decade – it'll be in the next 2/3 years.
@chillbobhouse@SandmanMarkets That’s because the NAV premium has increased - so the market feels that it’s okay that you’re getting less bang (HYPE) for your buck.
With PURR you’re speculating not just on the price of HYPE, but on what the DAT Advisors/Market would think on the price of HYPE.
@SandmanMarkets HYPE per share went up 2.4% (as you said).
NAV per share went down 6.3%.
We don't want $PURR to buy the top like Saylor – main driver should be an increase in (market-appropriate priced) $HYPE per share.
$PURR is great if you want a DAT.
Not if you want fair-value HYPE.
@LudwigVCrypto Probably but one has to ask why would you need a tradfi conduit - if it’s to borrow against etc there are PBs out there that take custodied crypto
@ericonomic prefer to have financial markets only, so that HL can be the one-stop shop for structured products and strategies
(e.g. btc long against fed rate hike YES hedge)
@CreateWithTony The token price is an expression of the performance of the product –
More trading volume, more fees, more HYPE buybacks, price goes up.
There are speculative flows for sure but the beauty of hype is that the price of HYPE is strongly correlated with the product.
