For Venture capital firms to benefit from this exemption, they will have to reinvest 50 percent of their proceeds from sell of their investment interest within a one year period
The aim is to subsidize venture capital firms as they remain crucial in the provision of seed capital to SMEs which are key drivers for Uganda's economy.

@cewitug, a consortium of 6 NGOs with international election observation of elections in Africa and local observation of Uganda's last two general elections, 2011 and 2016, and bye-elections has had its data centre raided this evening by @PoliceUg.
An update on the raid of election observer group @cewitug's private tally centre at Hotel Africana, Kampala.
20 individuals have so far been arrested, laptops and other equipments confiscated by @PoliceUg.
We demand for their unconditional release.
