On too many occasions votes & nominations are cast when little is known about who is standing

The chair of Buckinghamshire Fire Authority has backed removing oversight and closing fire stations—a direct threat to public safety.

Cuts to emergency services will cost lives.

New cuts could mean 2,300 firefighter jobs slashed. This year has already seen record breaking wildfire incidents, with resources overstretched.

The government must urgently reverse this decision.

1/4 The next meeting in August is set to be the decision making meeting for proposed cuts

It is of great concern that the Fire Authority has not been able to debate the cuts properly and may lack the input required to make such a critical decision in a properly informed manner

Despite the meeting not going ahead the Fire Authority members that did attend, spoke with 🧑‍🚒 & understood the perilous state of the service
