For me, systemd was never faster than init scripts, and it's had major bugs and security flaws. It completely broke our postgresql db in prod.

🇺🇸 UPDATE: Mississippi realtor FIRED after calling cops on dad taking daughters into women’s restroom.

A dad from Oklahoma was traveling with his young daughters when he took them into an empty women’s restroom at an Alabama QuikTrip.

He said the men’s room was too dirty. So he took his little girls into the empty women’s restroom. A Mississippi man confronted him, called police, and berated the family on camera. Police reportedly cleared the dad and asked the man who complained to leave.

The video exploded with 24 MILLION views on TikTok. Now, Overstreet Properties has cut ties with the realtor (an independent contractor), saying his actions “do not reflect the values of our organization”.

The whole situation has sparked an online feud about the line between protecting kids and common sense. Should the man take his girls into the men’s room, should he send them into the women’s room alone, or did he do the right thing in the first place?

Regardless of whether the dad was right or wrong, I think most can agree that the ‘concerned’ bystander could have definitely handled himself better.
