Yes we have some spicy questions.
TLDR no, there are no plans to transfer Flutter ownership.
We are simply asking to get a pulse check on governance, and this will be a new recurring question in every future survey.
Our goal is only to assess how successfully we are expanding governance to target platforms and meeting our goals to make Flutter possible everywhere. nonGoogle maintainers have always been a part of that strategy, but that doesn't mean the framework is going anywhere :)
@BReal_01@FlutterDev Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The survey really aims to understand in which direction to expand governance, so other maintainers can continue driving the platforms they already lead. See @twerske's note here: https://t.co/5Eaos3HHcU
We have no active plans to transfer it outside Google, only to expand current governance to ensure non Google maintainers have the ability to drive roadmap for platforms they lead (like Canonical with desktop)
I totally hear how the questions could feel concerning, but rest assured it’s not an active thing happening, we just want data in if that direction is correct or if it’s something we should be assessing.

4 good reasons to take this survey:
- we analyze every answer
- it drives important decisions & the future roadmap
- it provides data we use to justify flutter to google execs
- its short and easy to complete!
nixos 26.05 landed: https://t.co/nI7FFOZTxv. If you have amdgpu, be watchful for instability with this new 6.18 default kernel and resume/suspend. Kernel 7.0+ is more stable, in my experience.
Introducing the newest Coral board, for efficient, on-device AI!

@Shinebynous@levelsio Isn’t it relatively trivial to circumvent these limits with some button combination on the thermostat. If you knew the model, would you know how to override these settings?
@FrameworkPuter Such a beautiful machine! Congrats on the launch! Would including an RTX 4070 or 5060 on the 13 with Intel or AMD be ever possible? Looking at something like the Asus PX13.
amdgpu has been incredibly unstable since Linux 6.17. It has only worsen on 6.18 and 6.19. Being on nixos makes it relatively easy to downgrade the kernel, but I can see how most people, including developers have no time or skill to do that. No wonder Macs are so popular.
@iamdothash It does now! Just added a GH Action to check for your releases once a day and handle simple version bumps. If dependencies change too much, it will fail, but I can create a more robust one later with, say, Claude-in-the-loop to fix build issues automatically.
@iamdothash Cliamp is looking great! Thanks for building with such care and for sharing. I put together a flake for it for folks on Nix/NixOS: https://t.co/6Pg9CyICdi
