We signed the Major Richard Star Act Discharge Petition, becoming the 218th and final signature needed to reach the threshold for a House floor vote.

These veterans came home carrying wounds they will live with for the rest of their lives. They sacrificed for this country, and they earned every benefit promised to them. Combat-injured veterans have waited long enough. It's time to bring the Major Richard Star Act to the floor and let Congress vote.

This week, we became the 218th and final signature on the Major Richard Star Act Discharge Petition, the threshold needed to force a House floor vote.

Combat-injured veterans have been forced to forfeit part of the retirement pay they earned simply because they also receive VA disability compensation for injuries sustained in combat. Washington has been nickel-and-diming veterans who put their lives on the line for ours.

Enough is enough.

It's time to bring the Major Richard Star Act to the floor and let Congress vote.
