In the West, wages have decoupled from GDP decades ago and stagnated.

@Slicinhammer Maybe it is not clear what the 'M' in MTBF means.
We bought almost exclusively cheap Ikea LEDs when we moved about 9 years ago and had to replace 4/10 so far, 3 of those that failed were GU10 (that form factor has issues).
So they are right on track to median 10 years lifetime.

@Pantera793 @Jordnt4 Am Ende der Lebensdauer eines Geschirrspülers ist er kaputt. Am Ende der "Lebensdauer" eines Solarpanels hat es noch 80% der ursprünglichen Leistung.
Wenn gerade kein Austausch möglich ist benutzt man es halt weiter ohne großartige Nachteile.

@Pantera793 Solar muss nicht ersetzt werden, nach 20 Jahren haben Panels immer noch 80% ihrer ursprünglichen Leistung.
Man macht es aber weil es wirtschaftlich ist, neue Zellen sind effizienter.
Wechselrichter sind nur ein kleiner Teil der Investitionen und man kann sie lokal herstellen.

@HannoKlausmeier @rolandhausm Auch China kann LKW nicht unterwegs schnell laden, das Stromnetz gibt das nicht her und lokale Puffer in den Ladestationen auch nicht.
Für 50 kWh PKW ist die Infrastruktur ausreichend, aber sobald die 500 kWh LKWs ankommen ist Schluss.
