working on a booklet for my y11s for revision about how to write an essay, which will explain each part of the process as we teach it in my department - if you are looking to move away from the sad PEE paragraph, this will be done by the end of the week🥰
By far the best way to tackle SEN support is to begin by ensuring schools are calm, safe, structured environments with high expectations of dignity, and clear boundaries, consequences, and reasonable accommodations. This is what every child-especially SEN children- needs to flourish. Teach the behaviour curriculum in order to scaffold good conduct, and the outcomes are transformed.

It's been a privilege to be an Oracy Commissioner, and our report is out! All children need to learn *through* talk, *to* talk, and *about* talk. This needs many, varied & connected aspects of education – from sure foundations in early years to sustained work in adolescence.
This week's department meeting focused on Feedback & Feedforward, focusing on how to use it properly to further students' learning rather than making it more work for the teacher! Featuring some further reading from Dylan William and @XpatEducator#Feedback
