Postdoc in Goodarzi lab and Konermann lab @Arcinstitute. PhD in Molven lab & @Halberglab1 at @UiB. RNA, systems biology, cancer and stem cell-derived models.
Happy to share this work of ours coming from the fun collaboration between the Goodarzi lab and Jain lab, where we show that systematic hypoxia suppresses solid tumor growth! Check out the detailed tweetorials from my co-author and the preprint below!
I am excited to share our latest preprint, in which we demonstrate that systemic hypoxia suppresses solid tumor growth.
This has been a tremendous collaborative effort in the labs of @IshaHJain and @Genophoria at @GladstoneInst, @ArcInstitute, and @UCSF.

We are excited to introduce LoRNA-SH, a frontier RNA foundation model that leverages long-read transcriptomics and long-context inputs to learn and predict the transcriptome architecture with base-pair resolution: https://t.co/8hfWJ54lHS
Excited to share our new paper where we explore why dCas9-KRAB protein levels drop so drastically after neuronal differentiation in WTC11 and KOL2.1J iPSC lines.

What is the best strategy to quantify mRNA isoforms? Short-read RNA-seq to achieve high depth? Or long reads to get unambiguous read-isoform assignments? In our latest work with @genophoria, we show that what we really need is to combine both! (1/n) https://t.co/Meev1Mcbqd
(1/17) Excited to share our latest collaborative study from the labs of @genophoria and @felixfengmd! tl;dr: we developed an integrative platform to identify and deeply characterize non-coding drivers of prostate cancer progression. More to follow~ https://t.co/6MxU2hehqZ
RNA folding affects gene expression, but this link is not well explored in Eukaryotes. We researched RNA structural switches and discovered hundreds of them in the human transcriptome. We even visualized some of their 3D folds with CryoEM. Thread below: https://t.co/JH1tbeXPLc
Can’t wait to share the splendid results of the collaboration between the incredible labs of @genophoria, @FKHM, and @halfacrocodile! Tl;dr: we've explored the code on how RNA-binding proteins team up to regulate their target RNAs. Read on for more! (1/15) https://t.co/d1xvd31Qay
If you are interested in spatial aspects of the tumor ecosystem and how this can be manipulated by physiological stressors (obesity, exercise, fasting) check this out and come and join the lab:

If you are interested in cancer research, definitely check out this opportunity! Albertas is a great enthusiastic mentor/scientist and has tons to molecular tricks you can learn from!
Are you a recent MD graduate and interested in using stem-cell derived organoids for cancer research? @Emerald_Science has multiple MD-PhD fellowships, including in my lab at @Institut_Curie. Apply before 8/28 or spread the word! https://t.co/zi2xe2V8pk
One of the work during my grad school time is finally out! We found that a transcription factor plays an important role in obesity-adapted triple negative breast cancer. Thanks all the co-authors, especially @XiaoZhengLiu1, Anastasiia and @Halberglab1.
Obesity is currently linked to approx. 500 000 new cancer cases each year. What are the molecular mechanisms? Our take is now out Nature Communication: https://t.co/6wRPMMhzMb Huge congratulations to @XiaoZhengLiu1 and @choi_benedict. I am very proud of you guys.
Farewell @cshlgnx! Big thanks to @tollkuhn, Robert Bronstein, and Dennis Plenker! So great to work with @AdelmanLab & @ChromaTownie, & TAs - @Roger5mith@egkaye @AlZuko1 & @bmart87! And to learn from our fantastic speakers! Most of all - the incredible students!!
