@msp1406 The problem is ‘fast advertising’. You can be live with a bit of text and a visual within a few hours/days. That’s where quality is sacrificed. And I think people subconsciously know this. So in the absence of quality they hold on to data to justify cutting corners.
@msp1406 Love this quote from his speech (and it’s a problem in our industry): “Shit that arrives at the speed of light is still shit when it gets there” - David Abbott
Every week @azeem@exponentialview reminds us of the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. This week 412.28 parts per million. We must avoid 450ppm https://t.co/Pus6iPkXtZ #climatechange
@canolcer So far it doesn’t look like the tech can break through in the gaming industry - and it’s been around for a while. If it doesn’t, funding might dry up and slow down product development drastically (which is really needed to make VR cheaper, better and, therefore, more accessible)
@msp1406 Fully agree on the reasons for outsourcing. But in the case of PA I think I think it’s rather the application and the tech that have to mature quite a bit before your statement might hold true. IMO it’s less a question of talent availability.
