@hmstorage @Karna6e @sweatystartup@grok From @grok: CDC data confirms higher teen birth rates in Southern states (e.g., Mississippi at 27.9 per 1,000 females aged 15-19 in 2023) compared to Northern ones (e.g., New York at 8.5), refuting the "same" rate assertion.
@StuartRaider79@trackingdonald@LeadingReport We also don’t naturally have all raw materials in the US to make 100% sourced parts in the US. This is not an intelligent “well if you just made it in America you’re fine” argument. No, our ground literally does not possess all of the minerals and metals we need.
@IPreferGlazed @LeadingReport The Supreme Court held that due process applied to all persons, citizen, alien, or illegal, in 1953. Everyone is entitled to make their case. Innocent until proven guilty and all that jazz.
🚨 BREAKING: Apple has revealed a new plan to integrate AI into its devices.
Plus, huge announcements from 3D-GPT, Jama Cardiology, Qualcomm, Wikipedia, and 10 new AI tools.
Here's the rundown of everything going on in AI right now:
It's officially been two weeks since ChatGPT4 Vision started rolling out.
My prediction was right, Multimodal AI is about to disrupt SO many sectors.
Here are 14 of the most shocking examples that prove it:
Less than 31 hours since OpenAI started dropping the ChatGPT vision feature on pro users...
People are scratching their heads in disbelief.
10 wild examples:
Starbucks annual sales is ~$40B across 37k+ stores.
At such scale, it’s very profitable to shave a few seconds off each order.
Per Bloomberg, Starbucks would make an extra ~$900m a year if each store served 5 extra patrons per day.
That’s why Starbucks is spending $450m on a new bar setup called Siren System (video below), where the key ingredients — dairy, pumps, caffeine, ice — are placed in a new optimized counter.
Take a Mocha Frappuccino:
▫️Under the existing system, it takes 16 steps and 87 seconds
▫️Under Siren System, it will be 14 steps and 36 seconds.
There are currently 383 billion potential drink combinations at Starbucks. And orders have gotten so ridiculously elaborate, that the average wait time is 5 minutes.
Why does Starbucks put up with the extra? Cause “extras” on the order are worth $1B a year.
For people like me — who just want a simple black Trenta iced coffee — it’s kinda annoying.
The Siren System will be in 40% of US stores by 2026. Can’t wait for the full rollout to more efficiently put caffeine down my skull.
@ScottKeohane@girdley@AlamoFireworks We used one last night for our finale, sequenced 6 fountains, 3 mortars, and 2 ground effects stuff. Was awesome to just sit and watch and everyone was safe from not having to light them. I’d say a solid investment if you want a show, not good for individual one off fireworks.
@inmygreatwarera @taybrinaism @Valenti93051124 Correct, just changing the ticket quantity in the drop down. On mobile web (and probably desktop), it auto applies and refreshes. That works the best in my experience.
@taybrinaism @Valenti93051124 @inmygreatwarera I got a ticket by constantly changing 1 ticket/ 2 tickets filter option. The switching between map and list options did NOT work for me
@Valenti93051124 @inmygreatwarera I had bad luck with the toggle (map/list) on safari on my iPhone. I did the “1 ticket” and “2 ticket” filter option and it would refresh the list everyone. I got a (waitlisted) Detroit ticket this way.
I LITERALLY stopped working on my memo so I could read this indictment.
I am on page 24 and JESUS LUPITA NYONG'O CHRIST.
HOW this man still has the capacity to shock me after everything that's happened, i'll never know.
but I am sitting here *STUNNED*.
@jessica_gju@inmygreatwarera Yesterday it was about 5pm. Other days there have been a drop at 2pm. The “if it’ll happen, it’s random in the afternoon” advice is true. Though I don’t THINK we’ve seen any before 1pm (yet!)
@snickn@justincgohn@girdley Consulting costs are dumb high, Oracle vendor support sucks, everything is an increase to license or usage cost, overly aggressive campaign for Java licenses are why I don’t like them. But DAMN is their product stable and does what it needs to do.
