Putin Meets With Witkoff and Kushner for Nearly Five Hours and the two sides did not reach any specific compromises, an aide to President Vladimir V. Putin said, as the United States pushes a plan to end the war in Ukraine.

Let me translate for you what this means. There was never any intention from Russia to settle this conflict (even when they released their 28 point “peace plan”). This whole thing has been a well executed intelligence operation with two very specific objectives: 1) to derail the devastating oil sanctions that Senator Lindsay Graham has tee’d up and 2) to derail the EU plan to transfer the Russian frozen assets to Ukraine.

As a result of these so called “peace negotiations” both of these serious consequences have been kicked into the long grass. Putin is happy and Trump will say “we can’t impose sanctions on Russia while we’re trying to get peace”. And he will lean heavily on the EU to not confiscate the frozen assets so they don’t “derail these productive negotiations”.

For anyone who understands what Russia cares about, this whole thing is so obvious. It’s a shame we let ourselves get played by Putin.

Most importantly, the Russian terrorism against innocent Ukrainians will continue.

There is a glaringly obvious message for Europe in the 28 point plan: This is the end of the end.

We have been told repeatedly and unambiguously that Ukraine’s security, and therefore Europe’s security, will be Europe’s responsibility. And now it is. Entirely.

If you are a European leader asking your team to book you on the next flight to Washington to go talk to Daddy, please don’t.

Not without a plan, not cap in hand, not humiliating us all in front of the cameras at the Oval office.

Europe is our continent, our future is decided here, not there. We aren’t poor, we have options, we can finally decide to assist Ukraine to the full extent of our very extensive capabilities, restore European dignity and defend Europe.

Or we can continue to wait for the miracle we now know is not coming.

The weakest spot in the Western position after almost 4-years of dragging & lagging behind with the support for Ukraine is linked to the Europeans - from the delayed deliveries & missing production of ammunition & weapons systems, to bypassing their own sanctions on Russia, to the failed attempt to isolate Russia diplomatically, they have never done enough to help Ukraine win this war; only to sustain its defence against Russia.

All of this has weakened Ukraine‘s position immensely over the span of almost 4 years despite its coherent political leadership, brave soldiers & resilient society.

If Ukraine falters under American pressure due to the growing global power competition with the DragonBear, I will blame the Europeans first and foremost - geopolitically irrelevant since the beginning of the war, yet preaching from their moral ivory tower to a world which doesn‘t care about their positions, promising and committing, yet not producing and delivering at scale; but most of all, I will blame them for the lack of courage and morale to do the right thing when it was the most urgently needed back in 2022 by launching a war production and helping Ukraine on the road to a true victory.

Only after America announced its withdrawal from the old continent under Trump, Europeans started to finally feel the sense of urgency - not for the sake of Ukraine, but for the sake of their own interests and needs. Only then, they committed to 5% for defence spending within NATO and later replaced the US aid for Ukraine.

They could have done all of this right from the beginning instead of just promising and preaching. Now, that Ukraine is between the rock and the hard place, they realize that they‘re the one actor that‘s left on its own between the two geopolitical chairs - America and DragonBear - without a seat at the table anymore.

Europe is standing completely naked in front of the mirror of reality and acts disappointed & outraged because it doesn’t like what it sees there.

RUS-USA Kapitulationsplan ist auch Ausdruck des Versagens Europas. Ukraine ist die erste Verteidigungslinie und wir unterstützen weiter so langsam und so wenig, als ginge uns der Krieg nichts an. DEU deklamiert Führungsanspruch doch schaut weiterhin zu und wartet auf Washington. Dabei verkennt es, dass Trump sich weder für die Ukraine noch für Europa interessiert, sondern im Team ‚Multipolarität‘ ist, also Einflusszonen und das Recht des Stärkeren unterstützt. Mit einem solchen Plan fühlt sich RUS bestärkt, den Krieg rasch fortzusetzen und auch gegen weitere Staaten auszuweiten. Ich erwarte jetzt, dass Europa und DEU sich ganz klar gegen diesen Kapitulationsplan aussprechen und DEU unverzüglich Taurus ausbildet und liefert.

Zum 100. Mal: völlig egal, wer was wem 1990 zugeflüstert haben mag, hat die Russische Föderation in der NATO-Russland-Grundakte von 1997 die NATO Erweiterung angesichts erheblicher westlicher Konzessionen voll akzeptiert. Ich habe diese Vereinbarung selbst mitverhandelt. Ok?
