The “loose grip” concept changed how I approach hard situations. I first heard of it from @GrahamDuncanNYC on Invest Like the Best.
Cool to see a similar (but different) application from Jeremy. Concise and a good read.
What the actual fuck?
I was trying to figure out why there were no new shows. Then I was trying to figure out where you were not on https://t.co/RrrIHWlMLm. Then I found this.
Your video is full of grace. It sounds like this was unexpected, and I'm really sorry that it ended like this. But I'm also sure it was a great ride and I'm glad to see you can find the gratitude for the experience.
Your show has been an essential part of my life over the last decade plus. Not sure when I started listening, but it was long ago. I've discovered so much great music through you, and I always really believed it / felt it when you said "we've got a great show for you tonight."
This sucks, but I hope it's the start of bigger / better things. Please find your next platform and keep spinning - I'll be there and happy to pay / support.
Maybe the funk be with you too.
Interesting how you don't need to be technical at all to be >99th percentile good at interacting with LLMs. What's required is something closer to curiosity, openness, & being able to interact with living things in a curious + responsive way.
No longer hiring senior or even staff-level software engineers.
If you love building stuff you can contribute to our open source, and if you want to get paid it’s way better to cofound your own thing (and hire AI software engineers yourself) than work for me or anyone else
@nabeelqu I was thinking last night how powerful this will be for my kids, who have started using around 8. Can you imagine the context that ChatGPT will have on them by the time they’re in their 40s?
Writing a detailed research query for o3 and then stepping away feels like I'm cooking and waiting for the pot to boil. (Best practice: don't keep looking.)
You don't have to be special to be successful.
Ordinary people can do extraordinary things by choosing to be what most people are unwilling to be: consistent, hardworking, patient, and determined.
Simple, but not easy.
1/ my partners @sequoia like to tell a story about how we had this brilliant SaaS thesis that led us to Fred Luddy, founder of @ServiceNow... but the truth is that we pinged him because it was a company, and my job was to find companies. here is the actual CRM record, starting in 2008:

@bt_erich @PrivatEquityGuy This is definitely a thing - you get the same profile of people at big tech. Smart and driven but not wanting to go against the grain.
