Dr Nyaba concludes his autobiography with these 2 sentences (p. 426):
“My humble assessment of the political situation in S. Sudan is that the SPLM may not sustain itself beyond the current leadership. Old ties may never bind again.”
KANU, NCP, SSU, EPRDF easily come to mind!
Working in Wau for the Information Department, Bona Malwal & the late Dr. Papiti Akol Ajawin were targets. His situation was compounded by his lefthandedness & preference to wear his writs watch on the right hand. Col. Mamuor el Fil misconstrued it for the hate of the Arab North!
Luos of Kenya are the Dinka & Nuer of S.Sudan; entitlements,Italian suits, arrogance, expensive cars & professing superior intellect. All are good for enhancing one’s life but dangerous for a generation imposing elitist lifestyle & doesn’t live within her means. #SSOT
@akol_lam But, Dr. Akol, can we bless this and allow it to move forward without having to criticise it or questioning the seriousness behind it? When will we understand our country and the fact that our ‘simples statements’ means a lot to those in the the grass roots who look up to u?
