What other drinks category would potentially award winning artisan products be presented in a 5l plastic jug normally used for packaging window cleaner liquid for cars???
It's photos like this that make me think cider really needs to take a look at itself and smarten up!
"Cider was once, and should be again, England’s answer to wine, but many ciders are essentially alcopops with very little fruit content ..(that's) the mountain cider has to climb. Which is why we need people like Gabe Cook (and Susanna Forbes) to spread the gospel of real cider."
Hats off to Carling for the transparency but this perfectly illustrates the difference between craft cider (+90% juice) and commercial cider (in this case 36.4% juice). It's time the law is changed to reflect this.

Surprise! We’ve dusted off the microphones and recorded episode 32! We try @Dunkertons Kingston Black, Harry Taylor's Crooked Branch (@onceuponatree), @oliverscider Fine Perry and Indian @HimachalCider. Cider news + a round of “Mystery Let’s Branch Out” https://t.co/0utCmPN5sC
Fantastic news that @CiderView have finally made another podcast after a lengthy hiatus. Rejoice! Well done guys (although I haven't actually listened to it yet, it could be absolute bobbins) 😏
