One thing that really sticks out about Undertale is its subversion of expectations. At no point did I ever feel like I could see the twists coming. Even the credits were a surprise.#RPGMaker2020
The manipulation of information normally only available to players is used to great effect to surprise the players like psycho mantis from metal gear. A certain fight uses this to great effect...
The first big surprise was the fact that reloading a save does not just completely reset the world. The world is aware of your save and some of your decisions always linger about.
I was originally going to just play a bit of Undertale for a class on RPGs, but daymn. It was just so good that I had to finish it all in one night. Can't sleep without resolution to this wild journey.#RPGMaker2020
@PurplePpleEtr@necropocene This remake is extremely faithful to the original, perhaps a bit too faithful? I think if you did not play the original game it might be a bit confusing to know what to do because you wouldn't know what the guardian trees do.
A remake of patapon in RPGMaker2003. Here's a comparison. Left is the remake and the right is the original.
You can play it in browser, but I highly recommend running the original rpg maker executable because the EasyRpg executable breaks

I have been experimenting with choice events, which work like some kind of dank else-if statement. Things get pretty messy with nested choices. #rpgmaker2020
