I’m settling in Sydney and staying here for the foreseeable future!
It feels like the start of a new life, somewhat exciting and very intimidating. I am afraid, but uprooting your life and starting from scratch is never easy.
@Venrae45@CSUnaux@AliEldrazi This is the most crucial detail here that catches people and judges off guard. A very bespoke case of not having any legal targets, yet having a finalised ability on the chain players can react to. A "you may" functional change and errata would be an option to reduce friction.
@GhaelWindss@Doowan_ CR 429.2. "Triggered and activated abilities that Add resources resolve as soon as they are finalized." - if Gray is pending before Diana, the Diana player will have the 1 Energy available to pay for Diana to be finalised.
@GhaelWindss@Doowan_ Cost within instructions for triggered abilities with "you may" are not paid to put them pending on the chain which is a common misconception. They are paid or declined during finalisation instead.
@gg_hazmatt@InsomniaTCG@JaviTajes Hi there and thanks for quoting me in those screenshot. The rule covering that exception is CR 355.10.e. I've summarised the topic of targeting and its exceptions in my FAQ over here if you want to know more about it: https://t.co/BhVdCykt2N
@fabianoliv42057@Doowan_ Hey there, maintainer of Riftboundfaq here 👋 Akshan's play effect targets a gear which happens after all PF cards have been finalised. Salvage needs a target to finalise and can't target Aurora if Salvage is first in the chain, only if it's the second card after Aurora entered.
@AikadoLoR@JulezJP It is fairly likely that copies will permanently copy base might assignments since layer 1 says that copy effects pick up on those (CR 472.1.a.1 of the 1.3 rules). Hopefully we’ll get clarification with the update.
@theeviltoucher@TeamLND_RB@Dokunu77 Thanks for the feedback, I went ahead and reworded the answer as it was a bit ambiguous. Hopefully the new version is more clear.
@AikadoLoR@Irrelivantboy@grentontv@judgeologist I went ahead and added a new page for Kha'Zix to my FAQ, feel free to share the link in case the question continues to come up https://t.co/vQUeHjJbBN
@AikadoLoR@Irrelivantboy@grentontv@judgeologist The difference being an explicit condition within the effect which is checked on resolution unlike a trigger condition or intervening if which are checked once before putting the effect on the chain.
@RiftJudge_@playriftbound The most recent version of the rules is from December. With Spiritforged we should expect an updated version with the learnings from China and most recent conversations with Riot.
