最近一直有朋友问我头像是什么 NFT，其实这个是定制款，原型是银英里的杨威利船长，和其他 200 狐狸一样，都是根据自己喜欢的人物原型进行定制的，这也就意味着二级基本不能流通

我是最后一批通过审核进入小狐狸的，在我刚进圈的时候就知道诗人佩妮姐 @penny777 以及知名播客主持人海哥 @_0xSea_ ，加入NextDAO @theNextDAO 并不容易，首先需要社区内的人一对一定向邀请，填写申请表，然后需要社区内每一个人进行投票，通过的才有资格加入，这里还要再次感谢 Mori 哥 @Ksssssser 在我最低谷的时候向我发起邀请，感谢子敬 @zijing 、哈哈姐 @hahazwei 、七七姐 @joi39597427、海鱼哥 @haiyuzaifei 等等的家人帮忙拉票

NextDAO 是由校长 @shep_eth 和海哥 @_0xSea_ 共同创建的一个至真至纯，由各个领域、Base 在各个国家身怀绝技的 200 位低调有内涵的大佬组成，他们在各自的领域都拥有杰出的成就和贡献，但从不与人道来，这也就造就了小狐狸本身硬核又低调的社区文化，在很多人或者项目眼里可能是一个普通的社区，真正加入进来才明白这里有多牛逼和纯粹

从加入以来，小狐狸社区一直是我在币圈的避风港和获得成长的地方，在自我成长和修行方面 K总 @kritoling、二舅 @uncle2、佩妮姐 @penny777、三哥 @798_eth、俊哥 @0xJunJun，给了我很多的帮助，让我今年想通了很多，一步一步的走出了人生低估期，里哥 @lilyanna_btc 、甜饼 @lonelyhorseme 、子敬 @zijing 帮我在 BTC 赛道上面获得了加速的成长，在校长 @shep_eth、海哥 @_0xSea_ 、Alan 哥 @0xAlanC 、徐博 @erichsu_eth、Ruby 姐 @rubywang 的感染下，做事也变得更加的清晰、有条理

质押 $pSTAKE 得 $BTC, 解读 pSTAKE Finance 的 BTCFi 战略

作为共识最强、市值最高的 BTC，目前只有不到 1% 的 BTC 参与到了 DeFi 中。很多 DeFi 协议都想方设法吸引 BTC 作为质押和生息资产，这也是 BTCFi 成为过去半年增长最快赛道原原因之一。

BTC 生态是这轮牛市的最早发动机

主要包括两个阶段

一是以 Ordinals, BRC-20 为代表的新协议，让任何人都可以基于 Bitcoin 发行新资产，催生了以 $ordi 为代表的 30,000 倍财富神话，吸引了大量新用户下载 BTC 钱包、拿 BTC 作为 gas 打新币。一时之间，BTC 生态实际成为了 BTC 面向散户和社区的广告与增长题材。

二是当「BTC 生态」成为一个新赛道时，基于 BTC 的质押生息和 DeFi 就成为了核心接力棒，毕竟 BTC 是市值最高、币圈最核心的资产。这里面就以 Babylon 和 @pStakeFinance 为代表。

pSTAKE Finance 在做什么事

pSTAKE Finance 是一个基于 Babylon 构建的比特币流动性质押协议，为 BTC 持有者提供安全的收益保证，目前 TVL 达到了 $15.52M。在上面 Kaito AI Analytics 的统计中，pSTAKE Finance 在 BTCFi 生态中占有最高份额，也是币安研究院重点观察的 BTCFi 代表项目（币安很早就投资了 pSTAKE）。

在众多质押活动中，pSTAKE 显得有些与众不同，他们开创了一个「质押 $PSTAKE，赚取 $BTC」的机制，这跟大部分项目的「质押 BTC, 赚取项目 token」是反过来的。这样一来，就减少了市场上的 pSTAKE 代币供应量。具体的活动最近会发布，有兴趣的可以关注官推 @pStakeFinance

pSTAKE 的下一步

pSTAKE Finance 从 2021 年开始 build，先后获得币安、Coinbase、红杉印度等多家交易所和 VC 的支持。当前 $PSTAKE 代币流通率达 98.2%，市值 $25M 左右，这在一众 VC 币里显得「不算贵」。

而随着 Crypto 政策友好的特朗普在 1 月正式上任，BTC 近期持续创新高，带有真实收益的 DeFi 协议和产品将迎来更大的利好。

在下个阶段，pSTAKE 将上线 yBTC 及相关的质押和流动性收益、参与 Babylon 三期、新版 $PSTAKE 代币经济学、以及面向机构开启非托管的 BTC 质押收益等。

今天美国法院裁定此前财政部对 Tornado Cash 智能合约的制裁是非法的，可以说是美国法律体系承认了去中心化 DeFi 协议是一种新型的基础设施。

因此，不管基于 BTC 生态资产构建衍生产品和 DeFi，还是瞄准 $BTC 本币在 L2 和侧链做 DeFi 协议，BTCFi 都会是行业持续关注和 Build 的重点方向。

Hi All–

Mira has been instrumental to OpenAI’s progress and growth the last 6.5 years; she has been a hugely significant factor in our development from an unknown research lab to an important company.

When Mira informed me this morning that she was leaving, I was saddened but of course support her decision. For the past year, she has been building out a strong bench of leaders that will continue our progress.

I also want to share that Bob and Barret have decided to depart OpenAI. Mira, Bob, and Barret made these decisions independently of each other and amicably, but the timing of Mira’s decision was such that it made sense to now do this all at once, so that we can work together for a smooth handover to the next generation of leadership.

I am extremely grateful to all of them for their contributions.

Being a leader at OpenAI is all-consuming. On one hand it’s a privilege to build AGI and be the fastest-growing company that gets to put our advanced research in the hands of hundreds of millions of people. On the other hand it’s relentless to lead a team through it—and they have gone above and beyond the call of duty for the company.

Mark is going to be our new SVP of Research and will now lead the research org in partnership with Jakub as Chief Scientist. This has been our long-term succession plan for Bob someday; although it’s happening sooner than we thought, I couldn’t be more excited that Mark is stepping into the role. Mark obviously has deep technical expertise, but he has also learned how to be a leader and manager in a very impressive way over the past few years.

Josh Achiam is going to take on a new role as Head of Mission Alignment, working across the company to ensure that we get all pieces (and culture) right to be in a place to succeed at the mission.

Kevin and Srinivas will continue to lead the Applied team.

Matt Knight will be our Chief Information Security Officer having already served in this capacity for a long time. This has been our plan for quite some time.

Mark, Jakub, Kevin, Srinivas, Matt, and Josh will report to me. I have over the past year or so spent most of my time on the non-technical parts of our organization; I am now looking forward to spending most of my time on the technical and product parts of the company.

Leadership changes are a natural part of companies, especially companies that grow so quickly and are so demanding. I obviously won’t pretend it’s natural for this one to be so abrupt, but we are not a normal company, and I think the reasons Mira explained to me (there is never a good time, anything not abrupt would have leaked, and she wanted to do this while OpenAI was in an upswing) make sense. We can both talk about this more tomorrow during all-hands.

Runes were a mistake…. but OP_CAT fixes this!

INTRODUCING CATNIP: bitcoin-native CAT-powered tokens

The user experience of BRC-20s and Runes felt disappointing to most crypto enthusiasts. While ordinals and inscriptions are widely considered to be a superior version of NFTs on other chains, Runes and BRC-20s do not meet the standard set by fungible tokens on other networks.

The source of the frustration is a fundamental issue with these protocols: bitcoin consensus (bitcoin nodes and miners) isn’t aware of their existence.

That means that whenever anyone wants to trade BTC for runes or vice versa, they have to jump through cumbersome steps to “lie and cheat the code” and get the bitcoin network to do what they want. Sort of.

That’s why you have to split your runes UTXOs. That’s why people have to buy the entire listing of a rune and can’t just buy part of it. That’s why you can’t do bids. That’s why you can’t have liquidity pools and AMMs.

CATNIP fixes all of that. it’s a new, bitcoin-native token protocol, that supercharges coins with our OP_CAT recursive covenants — the same recursive covenants that power @rot13maxi’s Purrfect Vaults — to allow bitcoin consensus (miners and nodes) to enforce the protocol rules. True bitcoin-native tokens, that you can play with inside bitcoin script. No other token protocol can do that!

CATNIP allows marketplaces to have partially-filled orders, where users don’t have to split their UTXOs ahead of time and can just buy the amount of tokens that they want. It allows bids, where users could say that they want to buy an amount of CATNIPs for a certain BTC price, and let one or multiple sellers fill them.

It will even allow onchain L1 AMMs and liquidity pools! We don’t think L1 AMMs will be a great experience, because of bitcoin’s slow blocks and other issues related to transaction relay policies, but CATNIP will also allow fast and secure offchain AMMs (for example, using CatVM).

We’ve been working on CATNIP for a while! It is in development and we’ll have it ready by the time OP_CAT is live on the bitcoin mainnet.

We’ve seen a couple of other teams exploring similar designs. That’s awesome! That’s the power of OP_CAT, you can expect a ton of awesome new designs once it’s live on the bitcoin mainnet!

THERE ARE NO CATNIP TOKENS FOR YOU TO BUY OR MINT RIGHT NOW.
CATNIP will only go live once OP_CAT is live on the bitcoin mainnet. We expect it to be extremely useful for stablecoins, but I’m sure you degenerates will use it for other stuff too.
Some people might attempt to experiment with those ideas on altcoins that have OP_CAT enabled, and that’s awesome! But true bitcoin-native CATNIPs will have to wait until OP_CAT is live.
