4/ Protect Your Vision
If you lose your vision, what was meaningful about it, what inspired you in the first place, then what's the point?
Be firm with the high-level goals and vision for your game.
Be flexible with the nitty-gritty details.

2/ Start somewhere, anywhere
Sometimes video games are developed on the fly, and created out of order for technical reasons.
Practice writing from wherever you are: beginning, middle, or end of the game.
Otherwise, the video game industry might not be for you.
