weird to be cancelling netflix... subscribed since the early dvd days, but the process they had me going through to set up a "household" was ridiculous. finished it successfully, reflected (briefly) on the absurdity, cancelled.

@mholt6@rmhrisk@ryancdickson@webprofusion It wouldn't be as comprehensive or capable in many ways as local automation/config mgmt, but could allow for a lightweight way for subscribers to centrally trigger replacement certificate issuance (i.e. not for revocation, but replacement for any number of reasons).
@rmhrisk@mholt6@ryancdickson@webprofusion I think another interesting use here is not the CA directly signaling to renew, but the subscriber being able to signal (e.g. for centrally managed interfaces)
Is anyone else's Twitter advertising basically just accounts like: @{the}[4-random-letters] [shop|store] selling absolute garbage?
I can hardly imagine a less effective advertising platform.
If post-quantum signatures aren’t a drop-in replacement for certificates, then perhaps we should do certificates without signatures. https://t.co/b7SUQ3E2P1
@isnotnick@ryancdickson@awakecoding@BoreanJordan Exactly. CAs focused solely (or primarily) on selling certificates are operating on a decades-old model, which begs the question what else is that out of date. There's a huge amount of (marketable) value in adjacent functions a CA can provide paying customers.
Honored to represent @googlechrome at the CA/Browser Forum Face-to-Face Meeting 58. We announced a few exciting updates, including results from our recent CA survey.
