My high school coach had a simple but profound rule:
No matter what happened—win or loss, joy or disappointment—the next day, you get back to work.
We called it the 24-hour rule.
You had 24 hours to feel it all. Then it was time to move forward.
The involvement and support of Brent Venables, Porter Moser, Barry Switzer, & Bob Stoops in Oklahoma’s CWS run is pretty special.
Oklahoma truly is a family; they practice what they preach.
“You’re going to get punched in the face. You’re going to bleed from the mouth. The question is…do you like the taste of blood?”
What. A. Quote. from Trey Gambill.
Nick Saban said, "To be a good player on your team, you have to affect someone else on the team. You have to cause them to play better by the way you play."
The best players make their teammates better.
How do you make your teammates better?
Think about a moment in your life when someone said exactly the right thing at exactly the right time.
Maybe it was a coach, a parent, a friend.
Maybe it came out of nowhere. But it landed and something shifted.
Those moments don't happen by accident.
They happen because someone was paying attention.
A great coaching reminder:
A tough loss doesn’t define your ability to coach…
A bad game doesn’t make you an inadequate coach..
Taking the L is never fun, but it WILL bring out your true character and demeanor! Your attitude & actions WILL suffer if you let your PRIDE control you!!!

“The standard you walk past, becomes the standard you accept.”
Every ignored shortcut, poor attitude, missed detail, or lack of accountability sends a message.
Leaders don’t just set standards, they protect them.
