@TalkTervosaurus@soppystern@mindsci@VeniceLaura@Keir_Starmer But I cannot accept that having trans family prevents people from seeing that there is a conflict between the expectation of inclusion and the need for SSSs, that is a conscious choice that many of these MPs have made.
@ScarMurray99 You are probably a similar age to my kids & I have so many happy memories of sharing Dr Who with them so this was a lovely read. Thank you.
@sigourneybeaver@66Steph82@HeadBerry I was going to argue that guinea pigs don't have the personality for battle, & then I remembered our guinea pigs taunting our Westie and I am having to rethink.
@WomensRightsNet@unisontheunion To NHS staff - please get in touch with me if you have been disadvantaged by @NHSEnglandβs trans staff policy & lack of female only spaces. After my win @FayeRCTribunal I'm considering a group claim of indirect discrimination. More info on my win: https://t.co/zTWtpE1E8G
@BradfemlyWalsh@sigourneybeaver That is truly awful, I am so sorry. Our social care system is falling apart and it is people like your parents who are paying the price.
@BradfemlyWalsh@sigourneybeaver And if your loved one is in hospital and they try the "but they have said they are going home so we can't stop them" ask if they can care for themselves because you cannot provide the care needed.
@BradfemlyWalsh@sigourneybeaver The best advice I was given by an ex hospital social worker is to decline hospital discharge if an adequate care package is not put in place. If your dad has a SW this also can work if he is at home. It is terrifying to say this to a SW but it can be very effective.
@sigourneybeaver If you do not have knowledge of being a carer it is an absolute nightmare to navigate, you have my sympathy. You do not know what questions to ask, let alone what help you may need or how to get it.
