As Sylvia Jones completes a 19 and 12 week all inclusive taxpayer funded vacation from QP until 3 March 2025 Ontarians demanding Jones resignation after CBC scathing report found Shoppers MedCheck program raking in $1.4M a week from Ontario taxpayers.
The ghoulish & depraved unresponse of Canada’s political class & media to #Israel’s now routine attacks on hospitals in #Gaza, indiscriminate slaughter of #Palestinian civilians-toddlers/teens/grandmothers- massacred & starved on an industrial scale, is a stain that won’t go away.
Premier Ford it wasn't a "good night" for woman who froze to death outside a Shoppers Drug Mart in TO. It won't be a "good night" for tens of thousands who sleep outside. It won't be a "good night" for people who can't access closed ERs or family doctors. SHAME ON YOU #onpoli
".@MaritStiles: 'It’s like the Hunger Games in ON communities who are fighting over attracting family doctors. You can’t attract a doctor to a community when you don’t have adequate housing, schools & infrastructure for those folks. #DougFord govt failing on many fronts.'"
Peter Bethlenfalvy, turning red, while being grilled by MPP Catherine Fife. Peter refers to Ford and Jones' historical health investments. Knee arthroscopy (meniscus repair) at Don Mills for-profit surgical unit $4,037 vs $1,273 to $1,692 public hospital.
The recent Paris transformation of key streets to add bike infrastructure is intensely pragmatic — more mobility choice and more trips using a lot less space, lower public cost, lower emissions, less pollution, better public health, etc! Via @EmmanuelSPV
Doug Ford is going to make traffic worse! “Based on the city’s traffic analysis of the impact of the MegaSpa and the new OSC, traffic will increase on Lakeshore by 27% in the AM, 23% in the PM, 25% on a typical Saturday peak” https://t.co/PNxOvSzwzk #topoli#onpoli
More pedestrianized streets, like what we’re enjoying on Market St, would add to our quality of life in Toronto. The reality is, allowing walkable streets, along with cafes & corner stores in neighborhoods, isn’t radical. It’s normal almost everywhere else on Earth. Let’s do it.
NEW: Cycle Toronto is launching a legal challenge over Bill 212 and is looking for a court injunction to prevent the removal of separated bike lanes on Bloor, Yonge and University.
The group says secondary routes "do not exist."

NEW: CycleToronto and other citizens have launched a Charter challenge of the Ford government's law to remove bike lanes. CT's executive director is not present at the Queen's Park announcement because... he was doored on Monday in a painted bike lane and is hospitalized.
This morning, Cycle Toronto launched a Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms Section 7 challenge to the provincial government’s Bill 212.
The lawsuit also seeks an immediate injunction to prevent the removal of target bike lanes on Bloor, University, and Yonge.
@ColinDMello Government records belong to the people. Losing them isn’t an ‘error’; it’s negligence. Good governance demands accountability, not excuses. #OnPoli
NEW: Months worth of government records are now considered “missing” after Premier Doug Ford’s Chief of Staff traded in a personal cell phone which was then “reset.”
The private phone was being used for government business.

I am still reeling after the callous, negligent passing of Bill 212. I will hopefully be fine but what about all those people that depend on their bikes instead of using a automobile - parents, children & seniors that have now had their mobility and independence stolen from them?
