@Leerzeit@a16z@billhinmanDC@bgarlinghouse@JohnEDeaton1@EMPOWR_us Wait, is it April Fools day? Shouldn’t this read “While a public servant at the SEC, he collected $15 million from his old firm, ignored the law and created even ‘greater confusion’ for the crypto industry" ....
This is an absolute disgrace and it highlights why we must have both term limits and age limits. Why wouldn’t an 89 year old in very bad health step down? What happens behind closed doors? Who’s talking to these aides?
We must make noise and be heard. So-called elites like @GaryGensler believe they know what is best for retail investors - which is holding us down and keeping the incumbent players in charge.
Let’s not forget what a federal judge recently said about the conduct and behavior of the lawyers at the SEC:
“The hypocrisy in arguing to the Court, on the one hand, that the Speech is not relevant to the market’s understanding of how or whether the SEC will regulate
Given the SEC's attempt to shadow ban crypto through regulation by enforcement, it's extraordinary that the @SenateBanking may not get @garygensler to appear for a hearing until... September! @senatortimscott is right, we need to hear from him now, not in 6 months.
Getting @GaryGensler before the Senate Banking Committee not before September will be an utter disgrace and @SenSherrodBrown@ewarren@SenJackReed and all others who support Genlser’s unconstitutional overreach are a disgrace.
After petitioning to unseal the Hinman Docs, @RoslynLayton writes in @Forbes: "Regulators aren't supposed to choose the market's winners & losers, yet it's hard to ignore how securities laws are applied differently to @Ethereum compared to @Ripple." 👇

@GaryGensler@SECGov Actually this video better explains what the kraken settlement is really about. Can't have a crypto exchange take any market share from the banks who offer pitiful interest rates. Good job Gary.
This 100%!
It’s ridiculous and frankly shameful that Chair Gensler was touting the SEC’s enforcement actions as the “cop on the beat,” yet (per public reports) MET with SBF multiple times, but was caught completely flat-footed when the alleged fraud finally came to light.
Today, I questioned John Ray, CEO of FTX, about @SBF_FTX’s unacceptable management practices. It appears @garygensler missed multiple red flags while trying to cut a deal w/ @FTX_offical. Congress must provide clarity and hold @secgov accountable.
@PBDsPodcast@saylor You need @JoelKatz on if you wanna ask about Ripple the company and XRP the token. If you continue to refer to xrp as "ripples" then you're just adding to the confusion 😮💨
@PBDsPodcast@saylor@saylor needs to stop saying the “The SEC’s position is…” the SEC’s position changes when you get a new Political appointees in charge. For ex, the SEC’s position 2 years ago was Ethereum is not a security, yet Saylor says it is. In 2015 the SEC position was BTC was a security!
NEXO leaving the United States is exactly what we mean by @GaryGensler is STIFLING innovation.
Gary works on behalf of the banks & his own self-interest. He doesn’t work for the people.
Time to put the pressure on him @RepMaxineWaters@tomemmer@JamesComer@RepLoudermilk
Despite BlockFi ending up intertwined with FTX and customers left holding the bag, the SEC still markets the BlockFi deal as another “win” for regulation by enforcement. Oh, what a tangled web... https://t.co/BdT1rUvrmi
