Today, we held a County-Level Budget Café to analyse the Kericho County FY 2026/2027 Budget Estimates and assess whether the proposed allocations respond to the needs of citizens across key sectors including Health, Social Protection, Gender, Agriculture, Water, and Environment.
@RiftBudgetHub@bajeti_hub@cedgg_2001 It was a great opportunity for the Budget Champions and the CSOs and by extension the community to influence the Budget Estimates for 2026/2027 for Kericho County positively
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya@TISAKenya@TIKenya#MaskaniKericho#ChangeNiSisi They should analyse the Budgets and check on allocations that support Youths programmes and where such allocations are missing, they write memos to demand for inclusion of their specific proposals and follow up to ensure they are included.
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya@thekhrc@TISAKenya@TIKenya # MaskaniKericho #ChangeNiSisi The County Government of Kericho was supposed to take advantage of NAVCDP and FLOCCA projects to address youth unemployment, but they missed the point by going into corruption spree and giving contracts to established contractors instead of Youths.
What specific measures should the Kericho County Government implement to create decent and sustainable jobs for young people beyond short-term casual labour? #ChangeNiSisi
Are we able to influence the current budget process to give more allocations to programmes that increase employment opportunities for the Youths.#MaskaniKericho#ChangeNiSisi
