Quite cowardly to say these things the day after he died. The behavior you describe is ugly - perhaps you show some humanity and keep it to yourself until after he is buried. Or perhaps even show your bravery and deal with it when it was ripe. But you didn’t feel brave enough to handle it when it was a live issue. Cowardly seems to be a pattern.
Risk management isn’t a complicated calculus. The point that you are missing is that public health experts don’t want to find the bad because they’re worried that merely saying bad things (even though true) will lead to “vaccine hesitancy“. That means regular folks can’t make truly informed decisions because they don’t have all of the available information. They have all of the good information advertised from the top of the hills and the bad kept more quiet. That isn’t informed consent.
You may not realize this, but your post is exactly why people distrust the Covid shots. “ meanwhile the shots were quietly doing something we didn’t design them for“ … that can just as easily apply to something bad as good. But the public health folks are less likely to advertise the bad.
Show me the passion for decades of the department of education failing at its core mission. That’s the problem with thoughts like yours. You complain about trumps action but you never seemed to care about all the kids that were failed by the inept department of education. If you cared that much, you would have demanded excellence all along. You just want someone to hate.
@VegasGoldGirl1@sussexRE@pastorlocke Amen indeed. This is the best response to that comment. No need to direct anger at the original comment. Hard to bring others to Him with anger.
@ColMoeDavis@natebargatze Ah, going for the 7th grade level reply. Perhaps next time you could use the “I’m rubber and you’re glue” response and it would be even better.
Our system is not rigged, that is a dangerous and silly thing for you to say. Especially a woman of your stature and position. Imperfect? Yes. But rigged? Cmon. And Even if it were rigged… YOU are the machine behind it all. You have been in the institutions of power for decades. For some of that time - your party controlled everything with a filibuster proof supermajority. If you believe it’s rigged, don’t you have responsibility for it?
If you
Have made anything of yourself by this point, there are many socialist countries to
Choose from. Why wouldn’t you just go to one and enjoy? You certainly
Don’t have to…but there are many places that have every socialist thing you want and if you are a productive and accomplished American they would surely take you. Perhaps you
Don’t really
Want that? Socialism is always best when it’s other people’s money l
@travisakers If only we could spend as much per pupil as the rest of the world. THEN we could
Prove our public education system is good. If only we spent more.
Simple. We have built a society on selling envy. Charlie Munger used to say society was safer in the Great Depression - because there wasn’t this level of envy. Think about that - poverty literally everywhere but society was happier and safer. Envy is dangerous and it’s being weaponized.
@jonfavs If you really cared about those programs, not just spoke about them, but really cared about them, you would be leading the charge to root out all the fraud that is taking money away from them.
