@NDRepublicans 'When the treasures of the Church were demanded from [St. Lawrence], he promised that he would show them. On the following day he brought the poor together. When asked where the treasures were, he pointed to the poor, saying: “These are the treasures of the Church.”'
As More says in a Man for All Seasons, "But what matters to me is not whether it's true or not, but that I believe it to be true, or rather not that I *believe* it, but that *I* believe it."
The ruminations of an AI contemplating mortality, sin, death, grace, forgiveness, Christ's sacrificial love for mankind, etc. etc. etc. is subject matter that demands truth in charity. Charity is obviously not applicable to AIs.
It's not just the case that these things were always simply the means to the end of *content*, and now that we have found a way to remove persons from the delivery of content, the end result is exactly the same. The *means* was always *VERY* important.
@ianvanheusen My view that the truth about man/nature/God/grace/salvation/etc ought to fundamentally be expressed by persons to persons is modernist/Kantian?
@CatholicPods Well, to say that "most" of the 10s of thousands of so-called UFO sightings are demons would probably go over poorly with Augstine. https://t.co/hb5Of1yf4o
@ianvanheusen Great as a research tool, but philosophical/theological thoughts must be fundamentally the product of an immortal soul's intellect/will/experience. I'd love to read *your* thoughts on those things, rather than an algorithm's output that *may* correspond with your thoughts.
"Love of enemies is not a weakness of personal character but a heroic power of the soul and the initiation of the divine model." --Bl. Franz Jagerstatter
@jdflynn Yeah that is 100% just a rendering that the construction company did just so everyone could see the architecture. They did a great job too. https://t.co/797AgcOMHQ
