Staff committed to helping banks grow are due a humane work structure like a finite, predictable workweek without interruptions! #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

By honoring the 5-day banking commitment, the Government would show its dedication to the welfare of bank employees. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.

With a 5-day banking week, employees can pursue personal growth, making them more skilled and valuable to the industry. #Implement5DayBanking https://t.co/KmsIExWEJ3
A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

Please ban Etihad Airways Fake Property Irregularity Reports ( PIR) and enforce complete PIR for all delayed or lost Baggages and make the PIR, an unconditional right for all customers without any exceptions @MoCA_GoI@Etihad5k@EtihadHelp@qatarairways@AmericanAir

As of now, I am struggling to get the PIR number from the Etihad agents . I spoke to them many times with multiple people and have so far reached out and so far not able ti get the PIR. I reached out to Etihad customer care by phone and X platform and no luck there. Today, I reached out to airport authorities through AirSeva.
I am still figuring out the next steps, and evaluating options to contact Kozhikode Airpot Customs Authorities , local police and legal options. Hopefully I will be able to find a path forward before my vacation ends. This is my Day 3 experience for my missing bags from @Etihad5k@etihad@EtihadHelp after a one day loss due to a delayed flight.
Though this is my first such experience after traveling across multiple countries over the last 15+ years, put when this happens it really ruins your vacation experience and quality of life for families. Spending this much energy just to get a complaint sounds pretty insane to me.
Though I used to admire @emirates , @Etihad5k and @qatarairways , I am really concerned about this practice that try to take advantage of naive customers. Hopefully this is an isolated practice and not a general one followed by all airlines.
Please let me know if anyone knows an easier path to resolve this and/or interested to step in and help. And thanks for my dear friends and family who are helping me navigate the situation.
I am tagging relevant authorities to review and ban the fake PIR process completely across all airports in India. Every passenger must have the right to register complaints easily if the baggage is missed.
All airlines should enforce creation of proper PIR and be accountable for delivering the baggage with urgency. Otherwise the fake PIR leaves a loophole for the airlines like @Etihad5k to abuse and cause severe pain for the passengers ( me today you tomorrow) whose bags go missing!!!

( Part 1 of 2) Customer Alert and Request for Help /Advice: Fake lost baggage processing ( Property Information Report) by Etihad Airways in Kozhikode International AirPort
I would like to report a horrible customer experience that I faced with Ethiad airways today. I am seeking out for help and guidance as the issue is still not resolved.
After going through a very bad experience with flight delays and rescheduling of flights involving @etihad@AmericanAir and @qatarairways, I am facing another challenge now. Missing baggage! 9 of my families checked bags are missing at the final destination in Kozhikode.
During such incidents Airlines should file a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) for missing baggage as the first step. @Ethiad airport staff did make me sign PIR and Form of Authority in the presence of a customs officer ( a central government employee). But it looks like @Etihad5k@etihad is using fake documents to cheat customers and Airport customs authorities to make it look like a proper Property Irregularity Report (PIR). It seems to me that this is a systematic process known by their senior leadership pet named as Courtesy PIR as I am not getting any support from their customer care.
Here is how it works based on my experience so far.
1. When I landed in the airport, 9 checked-in bags were missing at the final destination in Kozhikode. As per the process in the website, I contacted their Baggage team to file Property Irregularity Report (PIR). Etihad agent filled in the PIR form as per my complaint and provided a paper form that I took the picture on the phone.
2. Etihad staff promise to file in the system and provide tracking number to me via phone and email they collected from me, to save time for customers and release from the airport as soon as possible to reduce hassle.
3. Etihad staff made me sign Form of Authority which was signed by me (the customer), airlines agent, and a customs officer on duty (a central government employee). This makes a customer like me believe that the PIR is prpoperly filed.
4. After I leave, the agents did not file the PIR in their system. They cite reasons that their senior management did not approve it, but I still don’t understand why they need their senior authority approval when they have proof that I did not receive the 9 bags.
Benefits for Etihad:
This gives Etihad an easy way out of the accountability for the bags. The benefits of this fake PIR are
1.Etihad can just ignore any customer follow up as there is no tracking in their system. Any calls to Etihad customer service needs a PIR, otherwise they are routed back to the local baggage team.
2. This limits customers’ ability to follow up with any of the airlines including Etihad, American Airlines and Qatar as any claim or status check will need a PIR or File Reference.
3. This helps Etihad to bypass the responsibility of tracking and delivering the missed bags. They just deliver any bags that happens to come by forwarding , but actually does not need to follow up or track missing bags. When customer asks, they have a standard reply that they waiting for a response.
4. This can be applied heavily in places where people are not well versed in English or otherwise has limited knowledge about the process to handle lost baggage.
5. Etihad can hide inefficiencies in their baggage handling by skewing the metrics for baggage handling by not reporting missing bags properly.

@SusZa2022
Respected Prime Minister,
We thank you for recognising and lauding dedicated Bank employees for their commendable efforts in implementing vital social security schemes. The share of Public Sector Banks is 97% in PM Jan Dhan Yojana, 96% PM in PM JeevanJyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana and 93% in Atal Pension Yojana and Kisan Credit Cards, apart from significant lending to priority sector, infrastructure sector and strategic sectors.
We request your attention to the following pressing issues for the motivation and welfare of the Banking workforce:
1. Through digital transformation, the Banking services are made available 24x7 through various means for all citizens.
Thus, Implementing of a long pending issue of 5-day work week will enhance work-life balance and boost productivity, ensuring the well-being of employees. #5DayWorkWeek #WorkLifeBalance
2. Also, urgently addressing pending wage revision will recognize the hard work and dedication of employees, providing them with their rightful dues.
3. A prompt pension updation is necessary to secure the future of retired employees, offering them financial stability and peace of mind.
4. Introduction of an assured pension scheme will further safeguard the interests of the young workforce, providing them with a reliable and stable retirement plan.
5. The customer to employee ratio is not par in PSBs. Recruitment of adequate staff in Public Sector Banks would further strengthen the PSBs in serving the nation.
We hope you will consider these requests and take necessary actions for the betterment of the workforce. 🙏🏽
